Wainwright's coast to coast-obtaining the name of the voyage of the famous writer, Alfred Wainwright, this self guided walk, but not an official hiking trail, is one of the most popular walking holidays in the United Kingdom. From St. Bees on the West coast of the Cumbria and stretches over to Robin Hoods Bay in the North of England, this walk stretches over three national parks: the lake district NP, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Moors NP NP. Walking refers to 190 miles of beautiful area, which comfortably in 14 days can be treated. There are also many alternative routes that are available as two week walking tour that is more than you are after all at once. Most of the walking are itself is not particularly demanding in this area, but does have a few difficult areas along the way. Normal walking precautions should be considered are maps and compasses and a moderate level of fitness will be required.

The Dales Way-Crossing through the Yorkshire Dales from East to West, the official starting point of this walking tour is Ilkley. From here includes running the entire length of Wharfedale (said by many as the most beautiful of the Yorkshire Dales). This is just one of the many beautiful sights that are, however, where during this walk, if you will the Pennine waters head with views of the three peaks, along the picturesque Lakeland and will end on Lake Windermere. If you're close to Leeds Bradford, Harrogate lives, there are links to the Dales Way from all these cities which is more suitable for you may have to walk comfortably. This can be completed in 9 days and requires a moderate level of fitness. More information can be obtained from: http://www.thedalesway.co.uk and that ill want to explore this new path for a hiking holiday to remember is alomost certain.

The Cumbria Way-and this is the third of my chosen top three beautiful walking holidays in Ulverston begins and cuts through Cumbria. Many of the most famous and most spectacular landscapes that Lake District, this hike is divided in 5 beautiful manageable stages of approximately 14 km is the shortest of my three selected ' do ' UK walking holidays, still you will find some of the most picuresque landscape and varied terrain.

Some of the dramatic scenery that you'll encounter includes the famous site of the beauty of the Tarn Hows, the thundering cascased Slelwith Force, beautiful Lake Elterwater and the extraordinary the Langdale Pikes. before it ends up in the historic border city of Carlisle, you will walk along the Valley to Derwentwater and along the picturesque village of Caldbedk. this walk comfortably can be completed in 7 days and requires a moderate level of fitness.
